We are blessed to have 500 world-class leaders contributing to our research and development work in patient safety and quality. The latest research supports the fact that children actually have a tremendous impact on their parents’ health literacy and awareness of risk. Our global program is designed to educate children from preschool through high school using multimedia and national awareness programs. Science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) principles are continually being crafted into high-impact stories, games, and exercises. Kids teaching kids is as much a priority as is parents learning from their children.
We are providing:
- A website featuring resources, primarily non-downloadable software, for the purposes of supporting the teaching of children and the process of children mentoring children in the simple basics of patient safety.
- Non-downloadable publications in the nature of concepts, tools, and resources to assist in the teaching and development of knowledge in the field of patient safety principles.
- Digital media, namely downloadable publications, checklists, and software applications that may be used by mobile devices featuring educational materials designed to teach children the basics of patient safety, with age-specific reinforcement of the science and math content they are learning in school.
CareMoms® and CareKids® programs will be featured in our third documentary, to be released and aired in 2013.
